Charles Edwin Feuger, III
April 19, 1943 - September 25, 2011
Mobile, AL- Charles Edwin Feuger, III, 68, died Sunday, September 25, 2011 at Mobile Infirmary after a long illness.
Chuck was a native of Savannah, graduate of Benedictine Military Academy, class of 1961 and University of Georgia, 1966. He retired from the City of Savannah. He was a long time member of the St. Patrick's Day Parade Committee, past president of the Fenian Society, long time member of the Knights of Columbus, Council 5588 and founding member of St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church Parish Council. For thirty one years, he was an official with Georgia high school football. His parents, Charles Feuger, Jr. and Jean Saussy Feuger preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife of forty six years, Carol Ennis Feuger of Mobile, AL; daughter, Suzanne Feuger Altare Joseph of Trinity, FL; two sons, David Feuger Christina of Charlotte, NC, James Feuger Mary Katherine of Murells Inlet, SC; four grandchildren, Lawton, Hayden, Delaney and Mary Grace; mother, Eleanor Blake Feuger; sister, Theresa Feuger, and aunt, Agnes Feuger Willoughby, all of Savannah.
Visitation: 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 28, 2011 with a Christian Wake Service at 6:30 p.m. at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.
Mass of Christian Burial: 11:00 a.m., Thursday, September 29, 2011 at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church with The Reverend Msgr. Francis J. Nelson, Celebrant. Burial will follow in the Catholic Cemetery.
Remembrances may be made to Benedictine Military Academy or St. Vincent's Academy.
